  1. I might do this in RL, to show my geek credentials acquired by reaing HBD chick. That is, I shall do the V thing with my fingers and say “As Dr Who say’s, may the force be with you.”

  2. Charlton, I did not know that. That makes what I proposed to say even better. I only ever watched Dr Who as a boy, I remember it being dimly lit and mysterious, and I had no idea what was going on—and that’s just the way I liked it! None of these brightly lit CGI monsters I see on ads for the latest incarnation for me thanks.

  3. Obviously I am not really so oblivious to geek culture not to recognise this as tripply mixed. What I want to know is why is it not even slightly funny to mix any two of the things up but mix up three… Explain that to me, science!

yes, there’re *bunches* of these “troll quotes,” and the funniest DO seem to be the triples, like you say. i’ve seen ones that combine four or five references, and they’re suddenly not so funny either (imho). hmmmm. (^_^)

  5. @jayman – “Spock is the one I could see being a Jedi most of all. Can you see him and Yoda together in room?”

don’t tell other star wars fans that i said this, but mr. spock is waaaay cooler than yoda! never was really a big yoda fan, myself. more into r2d2…and han solo (for obvious reasons). (~_^)

and all that force cr*p?! pfft. afaiac, the take home message from SW is and always was (or should’ve been, i guess): “hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side.” but maybe that’s just me. (~_^)

  6. @jayman – i’m one of those (admittedly very few) star wars fans who shouts at the tv: “luke! turn the targeting computer back ON, d*mn you!”

    always the contrarian, me. (~_^)
