Do you think a dysgenia scenario like in Idiocracy is possible in the future?
When I saw this video of Putin riding a three-wheeled motorcycle I couldn’t help thinking of a scene in Idiocracy where President Camacho is doing the same. :)

well, it’s certainly possible. altho i doubt that people will be irrigating crops with gatorade — at least i hope not! (~_^) whether or not a dysgenic scenario for the future is likely is another question — and one that i can’t answer! certainly evolution is not directional — it doesn’t always lead to smarter or what we might consider better. the future could easily look like india — or hong kong — prolly a mix. who knows?

heh! i didn’t see that at the time, but now i can’t unsee it! thnx! ’cause it’s funny. (^_^)

Hong Kong is much,,, much much better than India. I don’t get your reference in this sentence. As much as I don’t very much appreciate the mentality of Hong Kong people (living there for 4 years), it is a well-organized and structured society that is at least comfortable to live, except for being a bit too crowded. It’s the same level of Singapore in my view.
it’s been over 500 years…. wonder what would happen when the 600th anniversary comes…

big party at my house! (^_^) (after they wake me up from my cryogenic sleep. (~_^) i sure hope the future is not like idiocracy.)
Hey, don’t be a patriarchal hegemon.
Columbus was a corporate Christian capitalist who supported animal testing and Wal-Mart. Everybody knows that.
@olave – “Everybody knows that.”
oh, oops! silly me. i forgot. (^_^)

So in the India scenario the average IQ people as we know it are a vanishing breed? I should be put in the endangered species list. ;)
Where I am, Putin would be arrested for not wearing a helmet. :)

don’t blame you — i was kinda rambling when i wrote that comment.
what i meant was that the future could go either way — be a bit of a mess like india, or good like hong kong. (^_^)
