  1. I figured it would be interesting to see your thoughts on the effects diffrent religions have on people. As your suppostion on the christianisation on europe by the catholc church. I wonder what the rise of evanelical and penacostal christianty will affect tribalism and human genetics and behaviour

  2. BTW islam and christianity make good comparisons worldwide (maybe not in india) due to both being roughly similar in size, growth rates and abrahamic.

sure. well, the one obvious thing, given the give it a rest already! recurring topic on the ol’ blog here is marriage patterns. catholicism has this ban on close cousin marriage (although dispensations are possible) not to mention uncle-niece marriages, but — i haven’t got a clue about protestant churches — which ones, if any, frown on inbreeding? i dunno. that would make a difference, of course. islam doesn’t ban cousin marriage (amiright?), but it does ban uncle-niece marriage, which could have an impact in india (if there’s much conversion to islam in southern india — no idea).

re. the imbalance of genders in the different religious groups. well, sheesh. you’d think, going forward, the groups with waaaay more men might have a tendancy towards more violence and instability. in that case, we should all steer clear of the sikhs!
